Maddak designs and manufactures assistive devices to ease the tasks of many household activities including but not limited to dressing, bathing and grooming. We offer the widest selection of elevated toilet seats with designs that address specific seating problems. In addition, we provide clinical modality assessment and evaluation tools for the Professional Therapist. A wide range of manufacturing capabilties permits us to offer hundreds of diverse products. Bel-Art, the parent company, formed in 1946, is a major supplier of laboratory products. Maddak, a subsidiary started in 1971 is dedicated to providing products to aid the disabled, the infirm and the elderly. Facilities To successfully compete in our chosen niche markets, manufacturing capabilities include many varieties of plastic processing: injection molding, blow molding, rotational molding, vacuum forming, welding and encapsulating. Silk screening on bottles, sewing and heat stamping, electronic assembly and custom fabrication are all part of the daily production. An automatic line with ovens for epoxy coating of metal parts, as well as sand blasting and spray booths allow us to offer Teflon, epoxy, vinyl and numerous other coatings. A modern machine shop with computer controlled machines turns out a great variety of plastic or metal products. A separate wire operation, which also includes a state of the art computer operated machine, produces a wide selection of racks and other wire products. In addition we have an in-house desktop publishing and printing operation which makes it feasible to design and generate not only our own leaflets and forms, but also print booklets, game boards, and instructions sheets for various assessment tools and kits. Distribution Maddak and Bel-Art sell their products through a world wide dealer organization and exhibit their wares at trade shows in many countries. Their trade names: Scienceware® and Ableware® are well known and respected in their respective scientific and therapeutic communities. Both companies offer engineering, drafting (Cad-Cam), tool and mold making support which enable us to introduce new products in a relatively short time of period.
